Others: Completed in 1864, this bridge spans the River Avon at Clifton, and is the link between Somerset and Bristol. Its length is 1,352 feet and height above the river is 245 feet. The chains of this bridge at one time belonged to the one which spanned the Thames at Charing Cross and which was replaced by the existing railway bridge
